Link Preview and SEO Check
See how your link looks when you paste it in Slack, Teams, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Discord, Facebook, Notion and other apps, and in Google. Find what is missing and copy the tags to fix it.
Paste the address of a public page. Our server reads it like a link preview bot does. Nothing is stored except a 5-minute cache.
Try:
How your link looks
Drawn from the tags we found, with each app's known rules. Apps change their designs, and some keep an old preview for days: see "Refresh an old preview" below.
Checks
Fix it: tags for your page's <head>
Filled with what we found. Change the text in brackets, then copy.
Technical details: redirects, headers, every tag, robots.txt, the image, oEmbed
How it works
- Our server in Germany reads the page over IPv4, like a link preview bot. It follows up to 5 redirects, waits up to 8 seconds and reads up to 2 MB. Then, at the same time, it reads the preview image, the favicon,
/robots.txtand the oEmbed data that the page names. - The previews show the image through our server, so your browser does not contact the site. Only images that a check found in the last hour are shown.
- Private network addresses are refused at every step. Answers are kept for 5 minutes. The limit is 20 checks a minute.
- The previews follow each app's published rules where they exist (Open Graph, X Cards, Facebook, LinkedIn) and what we see in the apps where they do not. Sizes and limits marked "about" are guidance, not promises.
- Refresh an old preview: Facebook and WhatsApp use the Sharing Debugger ("Scrape Again"); LinkedIn uses the Post Inspector; Telegram uses the @WebpageBot; Slack and X refresh by themselves after a while. Adding a small change to the address (for example
?v=2) makes every app read it again.
