Safe Links
Check where a link really goes before you open it. We follow it on our server, up to 10 redirects, without opening the page in your browser, and look for warning signs.
Wrap a link
A wrapped link opens a page that shows the check before anyone leaves: where it goes, the redirects and the warning signs. Safe links continue after 3 seconds; risky ones wait for a click. Links on a blocklist are not wrapped. You see how many people opened it and how many continued.

What the check looks at
- Where it ends up: every redirect, up to 10, and the final address. Short links (bit.ly, t.co and others) are opened to show where they lead.
- Blocklists: URLhaus (malware links) and Phishing.Database (phishing sites), updated every 6 hours. A listed address is never opened.
- Warning signs: plain http, an IP address instead of a name, look-alike names (punycode, mixed alphabets), a different site than the one named, many redirects, errors and broken certificates.
- Never: private network addresses. The checker refuses them.
"No problems found" means none of these signs, not a guarantee. A new phishing site may not be on a list yet.
